Whether you’ve been hired to write blog posts for someone else or you’re writing your own blog posts and trying to drive traffic to your site, knowing how to write a good blog post is very important. One of the first things that you should be aware of is that you need to make your opinion known.
Not everyone will agree with you, but that’s ok. That makes for lively discussion, and people will know where you stand. You should also remember that less is more. Not too many people will read your entire, 3000-word blog post, but they’ll read the 200 word one because they can get through it quickly, and the more links (within reason) that you put in it, the better.
It shows that you’ve done some research and you know your topic, and it gives your readers somewhere else to go where they can read more about the ideas that you have and how they relate to what other people are saying. That’s important, and it will get you readers who come back again and again, to see what other wisdom and information you have to offer.
