There exists a florist that has been telling us to ‘say it with flowers’ for decades now. They aren’t too far off either because flowers and other gift baskets have a way of conveying almost any emotion or message. Do you have something to say that would be explained better (or more easily) by a Boston Flower Delivery? Fear not, that delivery is as close as your laptop or smart phone.
Flower Writing: The Language of flowers
Who knew that every day we express ourselves with flowers? Not just ‘hi Sweetie, love you’…no we can ‘say’ things far more expressive and succinct with flowers. Here are a few examples: to Mom, with love—cinquefoil; may your family be fruitful/abundant—fig tree; comfort for sick/grieving—pears; all the kisses in the heavens—mistletoe; let this home be filled with happiness—garlands of holly; you are beautiful—a single rose; I am the bride—orange blossoms; and to congratulate someone on their new little bundle of joy—Dittany of Crete.
Things You Never Knew You Could Say With Flowers (if at all!)
Thanks to Florigraphy you won’t necessarily have to hand these bouquets over with your left hand, but you should: “I shall have revenge” can be conveyed through some bright and cheery looking bird’s foot trefoil; “consider us at war” can be whispered with 4 York or Lancaster roses (check that dozen roses carefully next time!). These could work well for the person who stole your boy/girl friend, the lazy jerk at work that just got the promotion you deserved…you name it. No you may not include poison ivy as part of the green leafy stuff.
One has to wonder if that decades old floral service that coined their little catch-phrase knew anything at all about florigraphy or if they just got a lucky hit.
